A major business and prime residential centre

On the periphery of Makati are the prime villages of Forbes Park, Dasmariñas Village, Urdaneta Village, San Lorenzo Village, Bel Air Village, Magallanes Village and San Miguel Village. Homes in these villages vary in age from 40 years old to brand new. Considerable up-grading of residential homes is taking place today. Rental ranges in the Makati villages for unfurnished homes are from P45,000 to P350,000 per month.

At the center of Makati are Ayala Avenue and Paseo de Roxas, diagonally intersecting along the pathways of an old airfield. Modern high-rise offices and residential condominiums are found along these avenues. The extensive Makati Commercial Centre (retail complex) is also in this area.

Nearby are Legaspi Village and Salcedo Village which are both high-rise residential condominium and office areas. Furnished condomium-apartments on long-term lease comprise over 90% of the rental market for condominium rentals. Rental ranges are, for furnished: studios: 25,000 - 35,000 pesos; one bedrooms: 25,000 - 45,000 pesos; two bedrooms: 55,000 - 85,000 pesos; three bedrooms: 60,000 - 130,000 pesos per month. There are several residential apartment buildings which offer weekly and monthly rentals as well as a number of excellent world-class hotels.
